steven whittaker optometrists was established in 2007 by steven whittaker, who qualified from gcu in 1982. steven and his brother mark have had their own practices since 1989, and in 2007 steven took over carnoustie and brechin on his own. in december 2011, steven completed a post-graduate diploma in therapeutics, based at glasgow caledonian university, and including one day a week for 6 months at ninewells hospital in dundee. he is now one of the 42 registered independent prescribing optometrists in scotland.
