atay had een wens; en dat was een dialysecentrum oprichten in turkije voor hulpbehoevenden. om die wens te verwezenlijken is stichting atay in de zomer van 2007 in het leven geroepen door zijn familieleden en vrienden. naast het vernieuwen van een dialysecentrum in turkije wil de stichting medische specialisten en geinteresseerden informeren en adviseren rondom de contacten met bi-culturele patiënten. uit de praktijk blijkt dat er vaak gebrek aan specifieke kennis is bij het benaderen, verplegen en/of behandelen van deze doelgroep die soms wel heel specifieke wensen en behoeften heeft.
