on may 28th of 2013 stichting cdh1 was founded in utrecht, nl. patients with the cdh1-mutation have an 80% risk of getting stomach cancer and female patients also a risk of 60% of breast cancer. our mission to inform families facing cancer, caused by a cdh1-mutation and advise them in matters pertaining this. the foundation seeks to achieve this goal by: • bringing cdh1 patients, their partners, children and family members, doctors and other stakeholders with each other in contact, so that they can learn from each other’s experiences in a positive and negative sense. • informing patients about the developments taking place in the medical field, the treatment, psychosocial factors and the social consequences. • empowering people who because of their mutation are forced to use the medical and social services. • to improve, encourage and coordinate medical research in the cdh1-mutation. • providing publicity about the cdh1-mutation, through amongst other its website and pamphlets. • actin
