stichting de helpers heeft als doel kwetsbare ouderen te helpen die tussen wal en schip vallen. ouderen die geen recht hebben op betaalde hulp/zorg maar wél hulp nodig zijn. doel is om ouderen zolang mogelijk thuis te laten wonen en een sociaal isolement te voorkomen (eenzaamheidsproblematiek). zij richt hiervoor een servicepunt (vrijwillige) hulp voor ouderen op en start in april 2011 met een 'pilot' in borger voor de duur van 2 jaar. dit servicepunt is de spin in het web als het gaat om vrijwillige en informele hulp voor ouderen. het servicepunt verbindt vraag en aanbod (hulpvrager en hulpbieder) in de rol van makelaar, coördineert en komt op voor de belangen van ouderen.
