stichtingdo is a dutch sustainable development organisation focussed on soil and water, agriculture, green energy and spatial planning in north holland. government subsidize the organisation to achieve social, environmental and economical goals by using water resource in the land, such as: multi-layered safety, providing employment, revenue from aquaculture production, increase soil and water quality. all the factors will be well considered to find out the optimal scenarios about water related activities. we are doing innovation pilots in our testing farm, which is behind achterover wieringermeer. current ongoing programs include: chinese mitten crab aquaculture, sports fishing, floating agriculture and salty cultivation.
