in 2001 werd stichting ex-change the profit of learning opgericht, als initiatief om stage en afstudeerprojecten voor mbo, hbo en wo studenten te combineren met ontwikkelingswerk in afrika. ex-change realiseerde al meer dan 50 dammen voor de watervoorziening in droge gebieden, klaslokalen, een schoolbibliotheek, een gemeenschapshuis, sanitaire voorzieningen, controle en voorlichting waterkwaliteit, computers, touwpompen, een stenenpers, brandstof besparende oventjes, irrigatiesystemen, onderzoek en advies voor landbouw, voedselveiligheid, gezondheid, energie, bedrijfsvoering, toerisme, en nog veel meer! via deze basisvoorzieningen werden essentiële competenties uitgewisseld en gepraktiseerd, vooral via ‘twinning’ van nederlandse met lokale studenten, bevolking en partnerorganisaties. in 2006 ontving stichting ex-change uit handen van mark rutte (toenmalig staatssecretaris van onderwijs) een extra prijs voor “beste leerbedrijf voor internationaal ondernemen”. ex-change wordt mogelijk ge
