stichting initia bestaat uit zes basisscholen en is ontstaan uit een fusie tussen stichting primondo en stichting katholiek onderwijs te dongen. de naam initia is afgeleid van het latijnse 'initium' wat letterlijk betekent 'beginregel'. de stichting geeft het katholiek primair onderwijs in dongen een stevige positie en is maatschappelijk betrokken en actief. de stichting bestuurt 6 scholen die elke een eigen 'geur en kleur' hebben. de scholen werken met autonome onderwijsconcepten, hebben hoge ambities en lef, leggen de lat hoog, zijn actief en betrokken in de wijk, zijn ondernemend, pro-actief en creatief. allen vinden dat het onderwijs van hoge kwaliteit dient te zijn, gericht op talenten en het kunnen excelleren, onderscheidend mogen zijn!
