het limburgs vastelaovesleedjes konkoer is een jaarlijks terugkerend konkoer voor limburgse vastelaovesleedjes (carnavalsliedjes). vanaf 1977 wordt ieder jaar "het beste limburgse vastealoavesleedje" gekozen. de organisatie van dit festijn is in handen van de stichting lvk. de stichting lvk heeft samenwerkingsverbanden met l1 radio & tv en met een plaatselijke organisatie voor de realisatie van het finale-evenement. jaarlijks dingen ca 250 deelnemers naar 'onsterfelijkheid". via 3 selectierondes hoopt iedere deelnemer uiteindelijk aan de haal te gaan met de bertha paulissen baeker, als winnaar van het lvk en voor eeuwig te worden opgenomen in de eregalerij van het lvk. een "hogere eer" is bijna niet denkbaar in cultuurminnend limburg.
