doel stichting meldpunt migranten utrecht de gemeente utrecht heeft samen met ons het belang ingezien van een aanpak gericht op oudere migranten en ons subsidie verstrekt voor 2014. hier zijn wij heel blij mee en we vertellen graag waarom! we leven in een participatie maatschappij. op dit moment doen veel mensen daar (nog) niet aan mee. de verschillende reden hiervoor zijn onder andere verschillende handicaps, onbekendheid met de mogelijkheden en de regelgeving en de angst om hulp te vragen. de doelgroep van stichting meldpunt migranten utrecht (st. mmu) zijn oudere migranten. gemeentes zijn verantwoordelijk voor alle burgers en dus óók voor de oudere migranten. oudere migranten worden nog onvoldoende bereikt door de zorgaanbieders en de gemeentelijke hulp instanties. dit maakt deze doelgroep extra kwetsbaar. ze zijn onvoldoende bekend met voorzieningen en vaak sluit het aanbod niet aan bij hun wensen. multiculturele diversiteit is (nog) onvoldoende ingebed in het ondersteuningsaanbod
