in 2010 is raaz gestart onder de noemer intermediair jongerenparticipatie. na onderzoek onder c.a. 450 jongeren is de intermediair jongerenparticipatie samen met de cultuurscout raaz geworden. sinds 2013 is raaz een zelfstandige stichting waardoor wij ruimere openingstijden kunnen garanderen en onze eigen winkel in het centrum van zaandam hebben, waar wij jongeren en professionals kunnen ontvangen en waar ruimte is voor eenieder om aan zijn/ haar eigen initiatief te werken. hoofddoelstelling jongeren in staat te stellen hun eigen initiatieven tot ontwikkeling te brengen en gevraagd en ongevraagd advies te geven aan gemeente en andere instellingen. subdoelstellingen een ontwikkelingsdoelstelling: middels raaz worden jongeren in staat gesteld persoonlijke competenties te versterken. een vrijetijdsdoelstelling: middels raaz worden jongeren in staat gesteld vrije tijd op een aantrekkelijke en nuttige wijze in te vullen. ambtenaren, de gemeenteraad, het college en andere instellingen worden
