rino is een stichting van leidse natuurkunde studenten die scholen over het hele land bezoekt om daar haar shows freezing physics en fast forward physics voor klassen op te voeren. stichting rino heeft tot doel het gat te dichten tussen de natuurwetenschap en het (jonge) publiek. de stichting wil op een positieve manier het publieke beeld aanpassen van de natuurwetenschap en dat van de wetenschapper in het bijzonder. aan de middelbare scholier wordt niet alleen laten zien dat natuurwetenschap mooi, interessant en zeker ook leuk is, maar ook dat jonge studenten, generatiegenoten van de scholier, hebben gekozen voor een bèta-studie en daar plezier aan beleven. de vrijwilligers die voor de klassen staan dragen veel enthousiasme uit over het vak.
