Stichting Swing in Utrecht

swing in utrecht is a foundation that offers swing dance classes, international workshops, social dances and performances in utrecht and other locations in the netherlands. its main focus is lindyhop: an afro-american partnerdance that emerged in new york's jazzclubs in the 1930s. besides lindyhop, we also dance solo (vernacular) jazz, solo and partner charleston, and occasionally balboa and blues. swing in utrecht grew from around 30 to more than 300 students over the last few years and is one of the most thriving swingdance communities in the netherlands. the foundation is managed by a voluntary board and supported by countless volunteers and an enthusiastic team of dance teachers.
