stichting tan yeepi seeks to improve education and health outcomes for maroon and low-income children in suriname to sustainably address disparities through education forums, mutual learning opportunities, donations, and advocacy. our vision is to bring mutual understanding, learning and aid to foster better futures. 2016 is now underway and the board yeepi foundation is excited to build this year's operation reading glasses (rg). we would like to thank everyone who contributed reading glasses at last year's fundraising event and through out our december christmas campaign. we currently have collected 100 reading glasses for the people of suriname. many surinamese women earn their living through fine artisan trades such as: embroidery and crafting of jewelry. countless numbers of these women suffer from vision impairment which hinder their ability to work to their fullest potentials. most cannot afford proper eye care and glasses. ensuring their livelihood and improving overall quality
