stichting vakantiekind is een non-profit organisatie die volledig draait op vrijwilligers. ons doel is om kinderen uit alle lagen van de samenleving samen van een betaalbare vakantie te laten genieten op een andere locatie dan hun gewone woonplaats. onze doelgroep bestaat dan ook niet alleen uit deelnemers uit modale gezinnen, maar vooral deelnemers uit de sociaal zwakkere sectoren van onze samenleving. daarom bieden wij ieder jaar ondermeer plaats aan een aantal deelnemers uit sociale instellingen, zoals vluchtelingenwerk, kindertehuizen en pleeggezinnen. juist deze gevarieerde samenstelling van deelnemers zorgt voor het grote sociale karakter van onze kampen.
