wie is stichting xienix? stichting xienix bestaat uit een groep van vrijwilligers die samen jaarlijks een lan-party organiseren. in april 2006 is xienix een stichting geworden na eerder al vier jaar op rij een succesvolle lan-party neergezet te hebben, te weten in de maand oktober van respectievelijk 2003 tot en met 2008. waarom een lan-party? veel jongeren tussen de 12 en 21 jaar spelen spelletjes op de computer, maar ook de wat ouderen spelen steeds vaker een spelletje op de computer. met een lan-party in de gemeente helmond kunnen wij deze jongeren bij elkaar brengen. even weg uit de (slaap)kamer en van de straat. een lan-party heeft namelijk een sociaal kenmerk. normaal spelen gamers vanuit thuis met en/of tegen elkaar de diverse spellen met anderen over de hele wereld. met een lan-party breng je deze personen bij elkaar, zodat ze elkaar in het echt leren kennen en kennis en ervaringen kunnen delen. hiernaast is het natuurlijk een stuk gezelliger om samen een spel te spelen in plaa
