let me introduce myself. i am the mother of jacqueline. a 26 year old angel with rett. she was diagnosed by andreas rett when she was 4 years old. because she was also blind, her treatment was focused on her visual impairment. the fact that she had rett was long forgotten. only recently, due to an article on the internet, did i realize the mistake we had made in her treatment and the approach of the so called professionals. my daughter is in my care at this moment and i am trying to eradicate the damage done over the years. unfortunately, those around me do not agree and think she should stay in a home for the severely mentally retarded and blind. the courts will decide but i will win this for the future happiness of my angel.
