tremors are involuntary shakes of the limbs, most commonly seen in the arms. 45 million people worldwide with parkinson’s disease and essential tremor experience these tremors all day long and in a very severe form. even though a tremor itself is harmless, it causes serious difficulties with activities in daily life. up to this day there is no cure and current treatment to suppress tremor is ineffective. stil is developing a new method to suppress tremor based on the concept on noise cancelling. a tremor is basically an unwanted vibration. if you add an opposite vibration to the tremor, it will disappear. we plan to integrate our technology into a wearable device, which patient can wear around their wrist, thereby actively suppressing the tremors but without the side effects.
