the premise of still point art gallery is that art and artistry have the capability to transform our world. gallery exhibitions serve to encourage and support artists; to bring art, artists, and art lovers together; and to show art to the world. these are the goals of still point art gallery, a virtual gallery that opened its first online show on april 14, 2009. still point art gallery sponsors juried exhibitions as a way to provide opportunities for both established and emerging artists to showcase and sell their work. the gallery focuses on themes or ideas as a way to creatively curate its exhibitions. the intent is that artists are inspired by the ideas put forward for the exhibitions, so that the gallery can present interesting and provocative shows to the online public. additionally, buyers and collectors of art are attracted by the ideas presented in the exhibitions, the imaginative display of art, and the quality of work presented by the artists.
