let's get to know each other, shall we? hi. i'm the marcus in "stills by marcus". i first picked up a dslr camera in 2012. since then, i've come to consider myself a learner first, and a storyteller second. a learner, because i take every occasion i can to soak up as much as i can pick up from the people i interact with; and a storyteller because that's the one thing i've been good at since my childhood - at the time telling stories through my writing and my drawing. now, i draw using light, with my camera and lenses as my set of colouring pencils. my style focuses on candid moments - rediscovering bits of you that you may have forgotten exist, unearthing that deep laughter you may have forgotten you're capable of, reminding yourself of that depth that society and the world may have conditioned you to bury. my style is about connecting with the essence of the moment, and who you are. ready to immortalise your essence?
