during 2021, two life-long friends with a passion for railways - james and jade - embarked on an adventure to start stimela photographic events (spe). spe is more than just a couple of railway aficionados. we are a family of creatives primarily dedicated to specialising in promoting and supporting south africa’s railway heritage & operating companies through photography. we also realise the value of all historic means of transport, which is why we are committed to run value for money photographic events which are not exclusive to railway themes and that promote our country's variety of transport heritage. our passion for such events does not only arise from the chance to capture the various heritage items but is fuelled by the inspiring photos captured by fellow photographers. whether you are an amateur with a cellphone camera or a 'professional' with a digital camera, we cater our events to all! we believe our success as a team comes from working together - teamwork makes the dream
