stir scholarship’s founding purpose is to foster gender diversity within the it profession. to accomplish this, we are offering a scholarship to young women pursuing degrees in computer science. high school seniors can apply for the scholarship by submitting an essay on our website that answers the question “how will you change the world with technology?”. in spring 2020, we were able to provide three graduating seniors $3,000 each to be used towards their tuition for college in the fall. our goal is to continually grow our fund so that we are able to award more scholarship money to more women each year.
