Stondon Parish Council

stondon is a thriving village situated in south east bedfordshire. the village includes areas known as lower stondon & upper stondon - we prefer to call it stondon stondon lies 5 miles to the north of hitchin just within the administrative area of central bedfordshire council and just north of the border with hertfordshire. stondon has a population of approximately 2000 residents. the purpose of our website is to collate on a single web site, all relevant information in connection with both stondon parish council and the local community. the name "stondon" derives from the saxon word meaning stone hill with upper and lower stondon. we the administrative body for the local area and have close links to many volentary organisations. our website http://stondon-pc.gov.uk has lot of information on the local community. we work closely with stondon recreation association in providing community facilities (www.stondon.net).
