stoneline designs inc. has been producing hand-crafted furniture, in a 100 year old textile mill located in historic hillsborough, north carolina, since 1989. designer monte mcdermed, working with a team of skilled custom furniture designers, have created a highly functional line of contemporary office and home furnishings that emphasize form and texture, fusing aesthetic design and modern functionality. solid, integral materials are machined and fit, then blasted, chiseled, brushed, scored and scratched with a unique pallet of surface treatments. over the past thirty years, mcdermed has developed a series of product lines that are distinct and separate, while fitting into the overall stoneline aesthetic: a refined industrial look with an emphasis on texture, contrasting materials, and exposed structure. stoneline design’s customization process allows our customers to adapt a particular furniture design to fit their style and space with a wide variety of material options. our client
