stf was founded by an engineer and metallurgist that had spent too much of their time at high tech start-ups trying to identify fast lead time, quality vendors for custom machined parts and assemblies. other professional colleagues were also experiencing the standard 6-8 week lead time on one-off custom machined parts. stf was founded to provide the one-off custom parts needed for cutting edge research and development efforts. stf initial capabilities were centered around a milltronic vm16 vertical mill powered by mastercam xv. merging with c-b mfg. & tool co. has allow us to expand this to 11 cnc machines and partner with third generation machinists. stonington technical fabrication was acquired by c-b manufacturing & tool company. inc in 2012. as a divison of c-b, stf offers a range of specialized machining, fabrication and prototyping services to industry and academic r&d group and entities. stf’s specialty is fast turn around on loosely defined redline modified parts as well
