stonnington toy library is an active not-for-profit community organisation which connects local families with children aged 0-8 years with the knowledge and practical advice about how their child learns through play. it's mission is to help each child reach their full potential through play, and through the provision of 4000 toys, puzzles and games, families have the opportunity to make connections in their local community, be more sustainable through borrowing, and provide their child with variety with quality play materials. it is supported by membership fees, fundraising and grants, and through the kind support from the city of stonnington for a community grant and premises. it is managed by a volunteer committee of management, and employs three staff members, including a manager to oversee it's operations. open hours and operations rely on volunteering from it's members and the local stonnington community.
