stop cancer is a fundraising initiative, the aim of the various campaigns we organise and implement is to support and fund non-profit organisations (ngos) whose aim it is to research cancer and find possible treatments on the one hand and to care for cancer patients and their family by managing and reducing the suffering of cancer patients on the other hand. cancer is one of the most relevant diseases in the world because of its level of incidence, prevalence and mortality. cancer is the second cause of death in spain and, therefore, it is a very relevant health problem. one in three men and one in four women will be diagnosed with cancer during their lives. every year, cancer incidence is increasing in spain, but mortality is decreasing. this reflects significant progress achieved through early diagnosis and treatment. an ageing population and an increasing percentage of people surviving cancer mean that there is a significant increase in the number of people who suffer or have suffer
