der verein „stop cybermobbing e. v.“ wurde im jahre 2012 im rahmen eines vertiefungsmoduls der studiengänge verwaltungsinformatik und gehobener polizeivollzugdienst an der hwr berlin von studierenden des seminars gegründet. als ehrenamtliches studierendenprojekt arbeitet der verein seither an lösungsstrategien, präventions- und hilfsmaßnahmen, mit dem ziel einer nachhaltigen eindämmung des cybermobbing durch gezielte sensibilisierung und aufklärung in der medialen welt. der verein konnte neben mehreren cebit-auftritten, eine riesige vernetzung von vielen verantwortungsvollen partnern, wie verschiedene polizeien der länder, dem itdz berlin, der universidad americana (uam) in nicaragua herstellen und im zuge dessen das bisher größte anti-cybermobbing-projekt der welt in kooperation mit der berliner polizei voranbringen.
