Stop Street Harassment

stop street harassment (ssh) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to documenting and ending gender-based street harassment worldwide. catcalls, sexist remarks, groping, leering, stalking, flashing and assault. most women (more than 80% worldwide) and lgbqt folks will face gender-based street harassment at some point in their life. street harassment limits people's mobility and access to public spaces. it is a form of gender violence and it's a human rights violation. it needs to stop. ssh address street harassment through public education and community mobilization. some of our programs include: a blog correspondents program, the safe public spaces mentoring program, international anti-street harassment week, and numerous online toolkits. as a young nonprofit, we have many exciting new projects on the horizon, including a know your rights legal toolkit documenting relevant laws state-by-state that could be used to report street harassment. we also are fundraising to conduct the first-
