Stop the Drop

stop the drop is a not for profit initiative who aims to contribute to the slowing of the coronavirus spread, by addressing the worldwide shortage of facemasks, hoping to initiate the community development of new locally mass producible alternatives for everyday use, so medical ppe can reach the frontline workers, who need it most. as a first step with launching the project we have initiated a design competition that is looking to harness the ginormous creative power of the open source. we are looking for people to improve on our own design with the engineering, creative and making skills, or produce something new and ground-breaking, that has the potential to help everyone in these challenging times. we are not selling facemasks, but we aim to get people creative to find solutions to locally produce ppe where it is needed. over the course of the next few days as the design competition continues, we are looking to provide a match making service for people with manufacturing capacity
