the stort physio model is a radical departure from the usual physiotherapy service delivery in the independent sector. the conventional approach is where patients will book appointments with a specific physiotherapy practitioner. if that physiotherapist does not have the particular skill set required to successfully treat the condition, then the patient will go elsewhere. it is no longer possible for every physiotherapist to be skilled in all the specialities anymore than a gp is expected to know everything about diseases and the effects of every drug on the market. at stort physio we have been building a team of physiotherapists who have a range of specialities. this means that our patients may see one or all of our physiotherapy team depending on the needs of their particular condition. when booking an appointment at stort physio, our patients are assigned to the physiotherapy team and not to a specific practitioner. we now have the combined skills and expertise of 4 physiotherapists
