storybeep lets users track news stories. we partner with newspapers to put our tracking link at the end of news articles. if the user finds the news article interesting, they can track the story by clicking that link and signing up for updates. consequently, the user will get email notifications from us whenever the newspaper follows up on the story. newspapers inform us about follow up articles in one of three ways 1) by entering the information manually on our website or 2) by hooking into our api or 3) by using our plugin for their cms. storybeep is useful for casual news consumers who get their news primarily on social media, email and im, because it is easy to miss out on updates in these channels, especially if the story is not trending. it is also useful for people using search for news, because searching periodically for updates is inefficient and often impractical. this arrangement is beneficial for the newspapers because our notifications bring the user back to the newspa
