who we are stowarzyszenie mova brings together translators who provide translation and interpretation services to refugees in poland. our association has officially been registered since mid-2022, but we had started working unofficially during the belarus border crisis in 2021 and the war in ukraine. we help people in need of translation and interpretation services both remotely and on site - at hospitals, detention centres, and local councils. the problem last year, tens of thousands of immigrants from iraqi kurdistan, algeria, afghanistan, syria, egypt, morocco got stuck at the polish-belarusian border. in october 2021, poland legalized pushbacks of migrants and asylum seekers by force. human rights organisations, both international and polish, voiced concerns over the use of pushbacks. many refugees managed to get to polish hospitals and detention centres with the help of ngos working at the border. since then, we’ve been helping people, both remotely and on site - at hospitals, de
