straight southern apparel was founded in january of 2013 on the idea of transcending beyond just selling apparel etched with our brand name, but rather represent an existing group with an established southern state of mind. our slogan, “more than a lifestyle, a state of mind” is meant to express that there’s a mentality unique to people who identify themselves as southern, and our ultimate goal is to uphold the integrity of how that came to be. the best analogy for comparison would be the classic billy joel song “new york state of mind”. new yorkers are (in)famously known for their pride in their roots, regardless if those roots are grounded by location, family affiliation, or just the feeling of belonging. straight southern wants to produce exciting, quality products while keeping operations laid back, customer service oriented, familiar, and essentially make southern hospitality tangible through our brand.
