Strathaven Choral Society
strathaven choral society is a lively mixed-voice choir performing mainly classical works. our major concerts generally take place in may and november each year, with occasional variations or additional events. we also host a seasonal performance of christmas carols and festive fun every december. our members come from all over lanarkshire and beyond. rehearsals are held on monday nights at 7.30pm during the concert season in the west church hall, thomson street, strathaven. [map] we always welcome new members (particularly tenors - male and female!) if you would like to join us, please don’t be shy. you can email us for further information or just come along to any of our rehearsals. the choir is available for hire at weddings and other functions. there is also a smaller, very experienced group called the strathaven singers who can provide up to twelve voices plus accompanist, for a lower fee. all proceeds go to choir funds. please email for further information.
