stray east is devoted to providing authentic, hand crafted home furnishings from india to the western market. we pride ourselves on using small, local manufacturers over large outlets; and all of our goods are sourced and made ethically and responsibly. we work with a supplier in rajasthan that provides local women with sewing machines, so they can create the beautiful pieces we sell, at home. this practice helps keep rural indian skilled work alive and for a lot of women the second income is what helps keep them out of extreme poverty; whilst allowing them to also continue caring for their family. we love india and all it has to offer. as an exporter of its skills and goods, we feel we have a responsibility to give back to those communities where we can. this is why 5% of all our profits are donated to children's charities across india - so our customers are all actively helping us do our little bit for that part of the world. each of our products are hand picked for their vibrance an
