“the mission of streams in the desert lutheran church is to bring the good news of our salvation by god to the community it serves, marshaling the resources of god’s people to teach god’s word, to make disciples for christ, to baptize, and to provide a vehicle for god’s grace and strength through the administration of the sacraments. as a part of the body of christ, it provides a christian church home, strengthens and nourishes its members’ own commitment to a life in christian love, and serves people in need, both directly in personal ways, and indirectly through financial and prayer support of the work of the church at large.” in addition a condensed version of our mission statement appears in our weekly worship bulletin as well as our monthly bulletin. it reads as follows: “to share god’s love with everyone!” these mission statements provide a solid framework for moving forward through the power of the holy spirit and the inspiration of god’s word to create a vision for our church i
