street smart property is in the business of reinventing retail shopping centres. we create local "shops that work" for the community, our key national franchise partners, our local tenants and our unit holders. the street smart property model is unique to the retail sector. we have developed relationships with select national franchises, allowing us to understand tenant needs prior to securing a site. a significant proportion of shopping dollars are spent on unplanned purchases where convenience plays a big part. local shops often provide that convenience factor rather than ‘super centres’ which require too much effort to access. typically the centres we secure:  are in emerging residential areas;  have intuitive parking that is easily seen by passing traffic;  are one-off sites seen by the community as their key local shops;  are run down/tired looking, with vacancies and one-off local businesses in the mix
