about us streetcode academy is east palo alto’s only tech-focused community center where youth and adults learn industry-relevant technical skills. we leverage the interest and talent of epa youth already engaged in culturally relevant technology and social media to train youth in 21st century technology skills. streetcode academy trains our students in skills ranging from python to web, and from graphic design to game design. our staff comes from industry, east palo alto and stanford. our vision research shows that positive youth outcomes are best achieved when education is combined with art and culture, and real-life application. we will host hackathons, workshops and technology classes with innovative embedded curriculum that builds skills in coding, media, arts and professionalism. these activities will be part of an integrated combination of cs and high-tech classes, character and professional development, as well as a community-based hacker space that will foster a culture of inn
