the average american spends 38 hours per year sitting still in traffic, and highway congestion costs $160 billion nationally. the compounded waste and pollution is staggering. we discovered that there are safety concerns, current traffic system redundancies, and major technological gaps with the majority of traffic control systems in use – in addition to the user efficiency concerns. our products have the potential to save hundreds of lives, millions of hours, and massively reduce emissions each year. street was founded in 2016 by a small group of entrepreneurs who were frustrated by the common los angeles traffic problem. our teams based in pasadena, california and medford, oregon have grown into a company of passionate, dedicated people working to make streets smarter and safer.
