Strength in Stories

strength in stories is a registered canadian non-for-profit dedicated to providing gender-balanced educational content through books, documentaries, podcasts, exhibits, and policy round tables. our indigenous and canadian history contains stories of scientists, explorers, politicians, artists and athletes who are predominately male. women’s history is still largely lacking from our textbooks, our currency, and our national consciousness. strength in stories lobbied the federal government to institute 'national womens' week', each year where important and influential indigenous and canadian women are championed and commemorated. now that the bill is well underway to becoming law, sis is focussing on creating educational content for schools, libraries, and museums. podcasts, mini-documentaries, and storybooks will put a spotlight on our indigenous and canadian women - women who will create role models, ignite dreams and spark the spirits of future generations of women. we are also creati
