mission statement: strive for college has one core function: delivering high-quality college advising to help students get into college and afford to go. we do this because far too many hardworking, qualified young people miss out on a college education for reasons that can be easily solved. most of the students strive serves are from lower-income families with parents who did not go to college. we believe that the college access problem is an information access problem. therefore, we work to connect students with powerful, personalized college guidance at no cost. strive matches students with trained volunteer mentors and provides them with state-of-the-art information technology for working together online. we are driving the creation of intuitive, data-powered information age tools to ensure equitable college access for everyone. mentoring powered by information technology is the formula for solving the college access problem nationally. strive's mission is to deploy virtual college
