Strong Farmers

founded in 2018 by a private sector social enterprise initiative, the “strong farmers” concept and program aims at creating integrated, community based solutions to sustainably improve the social, economic and environmental perspectives of smallholder farm communities. starting in east africa, but aiming to exchange, build and transfer best practices to and from other smallholder communities across developing and emerging markets, we plan to initiate similar pilots with smallholder-farm communities across latin america, india and south east asia towards 2020 and beyond. in all of our projects, supporting the overall “strong farmers” program, we engage with already active local social innovators and local entrepreneurs using our global platform and interdisciplinary expert network to pilot, accelerate and scale a range of complimentary pilot projects, contributing to an agricultural excellence framework of guiding principles, best practices and tools, for cross-regional scaling and t
