strong start for kids is a consultancy that provides customized learning and tools for children pre-k through second grade. at strong start for kids, we believe that all children are readers, writers, and mathematicians. we focus on the foundational skills of literacy and math, utilizing data to meet children where they are during our customized learning sessions. my name is heather curnett, and my first responsibility as an educator is to help children believe in themselves. i help them try their hardest, and trust their own hearts and minds. i accomplish this by cultivating relationships with students and families. i make those relationships the foundation of all instruction, so that students feel comfortable taking chances in their learning. i show the children i work with that they can learn as much from their mistakes as they can from their success. i use open communication, honesty, humor, and consistency when supporting children and their families. at strong start for kids, we s
