the stu clark centre for entrepreneurship was launched on april 1, 2008 based on the generous financial support of asper school alumnus and successful oil and gas entrepreneur, stu clark. from july 1997 to march 2008 the centre was known as the asper centre for entrepreneurship based on a donation from the late dr. israel asper, founder of canwest global. the stu clark centre maintains a link to its previous incarnation through the executive director’s position. this position is now known as the i.h. asper executive director in entrepreneurship. the stu clark centre’s goals are to encourage the development of new businesses and entrepreneurial thinking among canadians by encouraging them to consider entrepreneurship as their life’s calling. currently, the stu clark centre supports a variety of programs aimed at youth as well as undergraduate students and adults including the highly successful curry bizcamp in entrepreneurship, an internationally recognized undergraduate technology entr
