the stuart/martin county chamber of commerce plays a significant role in the growth, business climate and economy of our area. martin is one of the most respected counties in the state. the programs and activities of the chamber are vital to our lifestyle. the chamber is proud of the benefits and services we provide to martin county and our 1,300 plus members. the chamber's services range from providing maps and information for visitors to demographics and statistics for potential new and existing businesses. the chamber was appointed film liaison office and certified camera ready by the florida dept. of commerce in 1990. the responsibility of the office was turned over to the county in 2000. the chamber actively recruits members to serve on its committees. they include state and local governmental affairs, ambassador, transportation and finance. the education committee was honored by the florida dept. of education for its "mentor program" in 1991 & 1992. the chamber then applied for
