the spie- optica chapter promotes optical science and technology. we plan exciting events including outreach events, talks and social events. the club is operated by students who are dedicated to advancing thefield of optics. the spie and the optica student chapter was established on 27th january 2012. the chapter advisor is professor armando albertazzi gonçalves jr., a spie fellow member. the chapter is one of the five spie students chapters in brazil.
