Student Coalition Against Rape

when the student coalition against rape began in 2016, the handful of students involved had no inkling of how widespread and rampant the violations they had endured happened to be. by meeting, by sharing stories, we survivors were able to identify patterns in the treatment we received from our school's administration, and we were able to validate for each other what we had long suspected: that what we had endured was unacceptable. today, the focus of the national student coalition against rape is to educate high school and college students about their rights under the law, to track problematic police departments and school administrations, to demand public and published student climate surveys to show the efficacy of school policies, and to supplement high school health education with up-to-date information on gendered and student-on-student violence.
