student parliament acts as a central forum for the student body to bring forth and address issues and concerns affecting students at rhode island college. whereas student parliament is comprised of representatives from the college community, it is therefore essential that the representatives be in contact and communication with their constituencies. it is the role of student parliament to facilitate the growth and continuity of student organizations on campus. student parliament will fund and oversee the activities and operations of organizations by requiring and monitoring strict adherence to the parameters established within each organization’s constitution. this will facilitate the growth, development, and enhancement of student organizations and their members. student parliament shall not organize events as a body, but shall fund them through other organizations in adherence with the by-laws and policies of student community government, incorporated. whereas student parliament, the
