student loan legal assistance, inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that assists all student loan borrowers by providing educational and legal assistance in the form of legal consultations, legal advocacy, and implementations of options on behalf of the student loan borrowers. due to the $1.4 trillion student loan debt burden, the dismal job market and economy, and the extremely incompetent student loan servicing, 1 in 4 of the over 40 million student loan borrowers across the nation are delinquent or are in default on his or her student loan payments. moreover, there are significant issues adversely affecting specific groups of borrowers who we assist such as military members, veterans and their families, and elders who are not receiving adequate information and servicing. finally, many borrowers who we assist that are current are struggling and/or are completely unaware of all of their economic and legal options. in addition to the urgent need for this education and assistanc
