the student organization for aerospace research (soar), is the university of calgary’s foremost student-run high altitude research club. what does that mean practically? well, we love rockets, cube sats, and high altitude balloons! we are open to new members, and most of our events are open to the public! please keep an eye on our events feed for more information. the objective of this club is to provide members with the ability to learn about physics and engineering with a hands on approach. the projects will provide education in space sciences through the creation and completion of various projects from start to finish. the club will also create awareness on campus about space research at the university of calgary, as well as related projects from the canadian space agency with the intent to further research and knowledge
